The assault resulted in the partial shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the T3 parking area.

Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of people injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
